My Life’s Story:
A Journey Through Business, Magic, and Ancient Wisdom
My name is Jan Tetteroo. I was born in 1956 in The Hague, Netherlands, into a family line documented over 24 generations—stretching all the way back to 1295. For most of my life, I was an entrepreneur, starting businesses and navigating the practical world of commerce. In 1995, I founded one of the Netherlands’ first Internet Service Providers, which grew to become one of the country’s three major ISPs. I spent eight years building that company, wearing the hat of businessman, problem-solver, and innovator.
But there was always something else calling to me.
The Pull of the Unseen World
In 1983, I was gifted a copy of The Mists of Avalon by Marion Bradley. Reading about Merlin, Avalon, and the Priestesses of the Goddess stirred something deep within me. Druidry became my gateway into a world of inner wisdom and unseen connections, a path I’ve walked now for over 40 years.
Around 2001, my first tarot deck came to me almost by accident. It was a Rider-Waite-Smith deck included as a bonus in a package of spiritual supplies from the US. Curious, I pulled a single card: The Tower. The little white book warned of big, unexpected changes. Those changes came. My faith in tarot grew. More decks followed, more books, and deeper studies into astrology, Kabbalah, and Hermetic wisdom. What began as curiosity became a lifelong practice, and eventually, a professional calling.
Finding Home in Ireland
I’ve been married twice. I have two children from my first marriage and six grandchildren. With my wife Karen, I fostered a girl for seven years until she was 19. After she left the nest, we knew it was time for our own change.
I’d always felt drawn to the Western European myths and traditions: Ireland, Brittany, Great Britain. When Karen and I first visited Ireland in 2009, we both felt it immediately: This is home. We returned three or four times a year, falling deeper in love with the land, the people, the culture, and the unseen world of the Tuatha Dé Danann and the Sidhe.
In 2017, we moved to Annagh More in the Cork and Kerry Mountains near Killarney. Here, surrounded by ancient landscape and quieter rhythms, I found a profound connection with the Irish spiritual traditions. Ireland became my heart’s home, a place where my work, my practice, and my life finally aligned.
A friend who visited in 2016 wrote this about our home:
between the shrubs the Green Mother whispers:

How I Work Today
Now, I blend over 20 years of experience in tarot, life coaching, Druidic wisdom, and spiritual mentorship. My sessions aren’t about predicting your future—they’re about uncovering your potential, facing your challenges with clarity, and empowering you to take meaningful action.
I work primarily with people standing at life’s crossroads: career changes, empty nest transitions, relationship shifts, spiritual awakenings. I help you move from uncertainty into empowered clarity.
My Approach Draws From:
Tarot: More than fortune-telling, tarot is a mirror for self-discovery. I work mostly with the Thoth Tarot for its depth and intensity, alongside other decks depending on what the reading calls for.
Druidry: As an Elder and Guardian of the Druid Grove of Anu, I bring grounding, connection to nature, and ancient wisdom into modern life.
Life Coaching: Practical tools to identify blocks, set clear intentions, and move confidently toward your goals.
Spiritual Mentorship: Deepening your connection to intuition, ancestors, and your own spiritual path.
Building Community
Karen and I co-run The Druid Grove of Anu, an online and in-person community offering both free and paid Druidic courses. We believe spiritual growth should be accessible, and we’re nurturing a vibrant, living community here in Ireland and beyond.
I also host Luna and The Druid on YouTube with my co-host Luna. This is a welcoming space for honest conversations about tarot, life, growth, and the mysteries of the unseen.
And I travel. A lot. I’m part of the Irish Holistic Fairs circuit, appearing at more than 30 fairs across Ireland each year. If you’ve seen a table with colorful cards and a friendly Dutchman talking about the Thoth deck, that’s probably me.
A Typical Week (If There Is Such a Thing)
Mondays are for rest—I need it after weekend fairs. Tuesday through Friday, I’m offering online tarot readings, coaching sessions, and teaching Grove classes. Wednesdays, Luna and I record our YouTube live show. The rest of the week, I’m creating content for my websites and social media.
But no matter how busy things get, I make time for nature. It’s non-negotiable.
